A Celebration of Colour at Bents' Viola & Pansy Festival

After what seems like a very long winter, the Open Skies glass house at Bents Garden & Home is once again alive with colour as the award winning Centre hosts its annual Pansy and Viola festival. Bents has once again been chosen as a regional host for the festival; the only centre in the North West and just one of three to host the festival in the UK.

Ronald McDonald House Named at Bents Charity of the Year

Bents Garden & Home has discovered the perfect family to front its fundraising efforts for Ronald McDonald House at Alder Hey, its charity of the year for 2010. Rebecca and Iain Jenkinson, who have eight week old triplets, have already experienced the care and support provided by Ronald McDonald House and are now looking forward to some VIP treatment from Bents.

Bents Introduce Suttons New Grafted Vegetable Plants

For decades, commercial nurseries have produced crops from grafted plants and have benefited from the significantly higher fruit yields these plants give with lower energy and pest and disease control costs. Now Suttons Seeds, the world famous seedsmen to HM The Queen, have perfected this grafting technique to bring all these benefits to the amateur gardener for the first time and Bents has been selected to be one of the first garden centres in the UK to stock Suttons New Grafted Vegetable Plants.

Orchid Expert Visits Bents

Bents Raise £7k for Marie Curie

The Mayor of Warrington has returned to Bents Garden & Home in Glazebury to help plant daffodil bulbs in the Centre’s Field of Hope. The event also provided an opportunity for Bents to announce its most successful fundraising total ever; a fantastic £7000 has been raised for its 2009 charity of the year, Marie Curie Cancer Care.
