A forest of Freshly Cut Trees Arrives at Bents

    (25/11/2009)

The national press may be reporting a shortage of fresh Christmas Trees, but there’s definitely no such thing at Bents this year.  The award winning garden centre has already taken delivery of its first lot of fresh Christmas trees with many more to follow.

The forest of fresh trees has arrived in time for the Bents Family Fun Weekend on Saturday 5th and Sunday 6th December and features four different varieties including the Nordman Fir, which is expected to be in high demand this year.

Says Matthew Bent:  “We’ve read in the papers and even heard on the radio that there is a shortage of Christmas trees this year, but I am delighted to report that there is no such problem at Bents.  We’ve got a great selection in all shapes and sizes including a fantastic choice of Nordman Fir trees, which are always a favourite with our customers.”

All of Bents’ freshly cut trees are low needle drop and have been mainly grown in Scotland and Ireland helping to support British growers.  The Nordman Fir ranges in size from 4ft to 8ft in height and similar sizes are available in three other varieties; Noble Fir, Lodgepole Pine and Norway Spruce all from 4ft to 6ft.

For Christmas traditionalists who look forward to the aroma of a freshly cut real tree Bents’ selection is one of the most extensive in the region.  To make it even easier for customers the forest of trees is undercover and brightly lit so customers can choose their tree in comfort whatever the weather, at the weekend or even after work as Bents is open until 9pm every weekday evening.

Once customers have chosen their perfect tree they simply take the tag to the till and Bents will net it and have it ready to collect by car.

In addition to freshly cut trees, Bents also sells pot grown Christmas trees which are great for a lasting addition to the garden.  If kept in cool conditions during the Christmas period, pot grown trees can be planted outside where they will continue to grow.  Bents Christmas experts are on hand to provide help and advice about how to care for a pot grown tree.
