Customer numbers at Bents’ Fresh Approach Restaurant have never been higher with record numbers visiting during the busy Christmas period. Despite such a huge increase in footfall the restaurant team has ensured standards remain a priority and are now celebrating even more good news having been awarded some very special industry stars.
They may not be of the Michelin variety, but The Fresh Approach Restaurant has been awarded five stars by the national Scores on the Doors scheme; the highest level of achievement, acknowledging the restaurant’s excellent standards in food hygiene. It is the second time the restaurant has been awarded this top accreditation, which sits along side its Distinction status from the Warrington Food Awards.
Says Matthew Bent, MD of Bents Garden & Home: “We are extremely proud of the team in the Fresh Approach Restaurant not just because of this award, but because it has been achieved during what I can honestly say has been our busiest time ever. Not just this year, but in our entire restaurant history.”
A record number of 60,000 customers have visited the Fresh Approach Restaurant since the Christmas Opening on 13th October 2009; 6000 more than the same period last year. And sales are similarly impressive recording a 19% increase.
Says Matthew: “We had more people visit us during the Christmas period than ever before, which is fantastic especially when – like the rest of the country - we were preparing for what we thought would be quite a challenging time.”
Scores on the Doors is a national public information service which publishes the official local authority ratings of over 50,000 restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes throughout the UK. The five star rating for the Fresh Approach Restaurant follows a recent inspection by Warrington Borough Council which found the highest levels of food hygiene practices and procedures throughout the restaurant.
