The Fresh Approach Restaurant at Bents Garden & Home, Warrington, is celebrating after being awarded some very special industry stars. They may not be of the Michelin variety, but the five stars awarded by the national Scores on the Doors scheme is the highest level of achievement, acknowledging the restaurant’s excellent standards in food hygiene.
Scores on the Doors is a national public information service which publishes the official local authority ratings of over 50,000 restaurants, bars, pubs and cafes throughout the UK. The five star rating for the Fresh Approach Restaurant follows a recent inspection by Warrington Borough Council which found the highest levels of food hygiene practices and procedures throughout the restaurant
The results of the visit have been officially recorded on the Scores on the Doors website; a facility which can be accessed by the general public and records the council’s findings in an easily recognizable star system, similar to that of the hotel industry.
Says Simone Norris from Warrington Borough Council: “The star rating is a quick and easy way for the public to recognize food hygiene standards and enable them to make informed decisions about where they eat and buy their food. Five stars immediately sums up superior quality and that is certainly what the Fresh Approach Restaurant has achieved.”
The 650 seat restaurant which is based within Bents Garden & Home in Glazebury, Warrington, has already won national industry awards for Best Restaurant and Best Coffee Shop in the UK and this latest award is another fantastic recognition of the hard work and commitment shown by every member of the team.
