Each year the Bents Garden & Home photography competition attracts more and more entries and this year was no exception. But only one of the 1400 images to be submitted could win and this year’s honour goes to Sarah Fairclough of Leigh with her striking, close range shot of an owl, titled ‘Piercing Eyes’.

Work on the new adventure play park at Bents Garden & Home is well underway, completing what will be a stylish new leisure area for the Glazebury based centre.

Bents’ award winning Fresh Approach Restaurant is once again savouring the taste of success thanks to 21 year old Commis Chef, Amelia Vella. Amelia has been awarded the 2012 Greater Manchester Young Chef of the Year title following a two and a half hour cook off against some of the region’s toughest competition.

Work has started on Bents Garden & Home’s £10m vision for the future. Diggers have moved onto site and commenced construction on the first phase of development at the Cheshire based, family run garden centre.
