Why are the dining facilities at Bents currently open for be inspired members only?

Our restaurants are open as an exclusive benefit for our be inspired members and to allow us to collect contact details of the customers that have dined with us, where and when to support the government test and trace scheme.

What is the process if I do not have a be inspired card? Can I sign up at the restaurant entrance?

You can sign up for one in the queue to give to the restaurant greeter on entering the restaurant. You will then have your card available immediately to be scanned into the dining areas.

What will happen if I sign up for a be inspired card online on the morning of my visit? Will my be inspired card be waiting for me?

Ideally, we would like you to sign up in store so that you can have your card immediately. Or if signing up online we would need you to do so at least 48 working hours in advance of your visit please.

Why do I need my actual be inspired card? Could I not be found with my postcode?

As you enter dining, we will be scanning you in with your be inspired card for Test and Trace purposes, there will be no facility to look up postcodes or member details.

What if there’s no information registered on my be inspired card?

Details can be added, or if its de-activated we can re-activate your card with the main greeter in dining. Please also remember to give us your phone number.

When will Bents be doing birthday cake vouchers again for be inspired members?

Not just yet unfortunately. All members with a birthday during the months of our store and restaurant closure will now have been emailed with details of their alternative reward along with details of when it can be redeemed.

When do the afternoon teas start again? How long will expired vouchers be valid for?

Vouchers are now valid for a 12 months. We hope to begin afternoon tea booking again on the 20th July once we are re-open and up and running.

Is there a maximum number of people per household/party who can dine together?

In line with the government guidelines, restaurant visits should currently occur in groups of two households indoors.

Our takeaway coffee hut remains open for takeaway.

What is the process for queuing inside for dining, after queueing outside?

No booking is required to dine in our restaurants, they are a walk in service that is exclusively open for our be inspired members only. A short wait time my be experienced when our restaurant is at capacity.

What happens when there are no more seats available?

Numbers will be more restricted than usual in line with the number of people that we are allowing in to store at any one time. We are operating a table service only system – it will be very different and a more personal service. The greeters will keep the security/ greeters on the main entrance informed on availability.

The lead of each household will need a be inspired card, so one card per household.

After people have paid for their shopping at the tills, are they allowed to return to the restaurant?

No sorry, checkout is the last point before leaving the building. Your shopping can be taken into the restaurant with you though.

Hand sanitising is compulsory on entering dining but not on leaving. Sanitisers are also located around the store.

Will the pet café be closed off from the rest of the store? What happens if I want to access it from inside? Will I have to go round and queue again outside?

Our Pet Café and store will be a self-contained unit with separate access for pets retail and the pet café, with no access to the main store. Dining in here will also be waitress served and exclusively for be inspired members to support the government test and trace scheme. We will be dual locating our popular pet supplies in our main store for the convenience of other shoppers.
