Cotinus coggygria 'Young Lady', commonly known as Smokebush or Smoketree, is a beautiful deciduous shrub known for its compact size and profuse blooms. The plant is noted for its large pink flower plumes that appear from late spring to mid-summer. These plumes create a fluffy, hazy 'smoke-like' appearance, which gives the plant its common name. The leaves are ovate and medium green, turning vibrant shades of yellow, red, and orange in the autumn. This shrub is perfect for small gardens or containers and can be used as a single specimen plant, in shrub borders, or as an informal hedge.
