Royal Mail 2nd Class Recorded Delivery – £1.85

Local Delivery – £4.99 

Within 5 Working Days. Applies to deliveries within a 5 mile radius of our store – covering postcodes WN7, M29, WA3 and M46, this is for products we are unable to send via the parcel courier service for items such as compost, gravel, plants and stoneware items which appear as Click & Collect only on the website. We aim to deliver all Local Delivery items between 3-5 Working Days from the date of order.

Orders will be delivered to you via a specialist two-man courier service. On occasion for smaller items, this may be one man. Once the order is placed, our online team will contact you to book in a suitable delivery date with you. On the day, should you wish to receive a tracking link or estimated time slot for delivery, we can provide this to you on request.

 

Direct From Supplier – FREE

Direct Home Delivery Couriers (Within 21 Working Days). Due to the specific manufacturing requirements with some of our suppliers including Forest Garden, Easigrass and , delivery times have been extended from 5-10 Working Days.

Applies to some stoneware, wooden pergolas, stone benches and artificial grass items. Please note – in some cases at present, this can be up to 12 weeks lead time

Order & Collect

Collect from our Glazebury, Warrington store (After 24 hours of order placed*) subject to opening times

A copy of your order confirmation is required with you to receive your items from our Customer Collection Point (located at the side of the building).

Orders are held for 7 days, a reminder will be sent to you on the 7th day, your order will automatically be refunded to you and returned to store should you not collect by the 10th day following your order.

*Excludes larger Garden Furniture items which can take up to 1 week, a member of our online team will contact you to notify you this ready for collection.

 

Offshore – (Isle of Man, Scottish Highlands & Northern Ireland)

Delivery options advertised cover UK Mainland and most regions. If delivery is required to these areas, a surcharge may apply for courier deliveries and for heavy weight items where a two man service is required to you. We do our upmost to include the majority of destinations, and advise these surcharges at the point of ordering with us.

Rest of the World

On request, we will offer a surcharge for delivery via alternative courier services including but not limited to XPO Logistics, DHL and UPS Direct. We ask that should you require this service, you email us at shopping@bents.co.uk with the relevant information including a description / code of the item you wish to purchase, along with the required delivery address information to allow us to offer a delivery quote for you. Please note – some items are not available for worldwide delivery. We will do our upmost to fulfil this service on request.

 

During busy periods

All orders are dispatched using courier services outlined.

During seasonal peaks e.g. Christmas, New Year & SALE periods please allow up to 3 working days for your order to be dispatched on your designated service. Please bear in mind, at times your order may be split into separate packages, or in some cases be sent by multiple courier services.

 

Tracked at every point in its journey to you

You will receive regular email and SMS text services including your order’s expected time and day of delivery from Bents and the selected courier service. Please be aware that should you select Royal Mail service, should your item go missing, then we are only able to claim for this after 10 working days from dispatch.

 

Need an item at a specific date / time?

Should you require your item on a specific date and time, we will do our upmost to arrange this when placing an order. This request can be requested to our team when placing your order with us. Please note there is a small charge for this service e.g. DPD Saturday Delivery.

 

DPD Delivery 

Once your order has been successfully completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your parcel(s).

DPD will then contact you via email and SMS text message (if a mobile number has been provided) to confirm your 1-hour delivery window. Please note that this service is only available to UK Mainland customers.

If there is no response when DPD try to deliver your parcel, a card will be left giving you the option to re-arrange collection. They will re-attempt to deliver your parcel up to two times after which it may be returned to your nearest local DPD collection point, or in some cases to Bents Garden & Home.

If your assigned date/time is not convenient, you can reply to the email or SMS to rearrange a more suitable delivery option.

Please note due to courier restrictions, we are unable to ship to some areas of the UK on a Next Day or Weekend service on request.

Not going to be in?

Your options:

Have your parcel redelivered to your current address

Redelivered to a different address from £5.50

Pick up from your local depot at no additional cost

Collect from a DPD Collection Point

You can choose alternative options should the estimated delivery date not be suitable, these include to leave with a nominated neighbour either side or ‘in your safe place’ at your discretion. We will never leave a parcel without permission to do so. Please note that if you select this option, Bents Garden & Home and DPD does not accept responsibility for any loss or damage that may occur once it has been delivered.

If you won’t be in for your delivery or wish to collect from DPD Collection Point this can also be arranged. DPD will show your nearest location, they will contact you to let you know when it’s ready to collect and how long you have to pick up your delivery. Please note if not collected within the required timeframe, it will be sent back to the DPD depot and be returned to us.

To collect your parcel from DPD Collection Point you will need to bring:

Bents Garden & Home cannot cover the cost of collections from your local depots or collection points should the receiver not be available on delivery.

 

Local Delivery (via our Bents Van) 

Once your order has been completed and is ready for dispatch, our dispatch team will schedule your delivery. This is usually within 3-5 working days. We are unable to estimate a day for delivery until the routes have been allocated, where possible we will offer this on request but is not guaranteed.

Applies to deliveries within a 5 mile radius of our store – covering postcodes WN7, M29, WA3 and M46, this is for products we are unable to send via the parcel courier service for items such as compost, gravel, plants and stoneware items which appear as Click & Collect only on the website. We aim to deliver all Local Delivery items between 3-5 Working Days from the date of order. Our dispatch team may contact you prior to your delivery slot, you do not need to be in in, and items can be left in a safe place. We do not require a signature on delivery.

 

Any Van Delivery

Once your order has been completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email or telephone call from us confirming your item is ready to be booked in for delivery. This is usually within 3 working days.

Any Van will then book in your delivery slot and will send us tracking links on the day which can be shared with our customers, as this is not currently an automated service. We kindly ask that should you require this information on the day, you request this from 9am onwards by calling us on 01942 266300, or alternatively emailing us at shopping@bents.co.uk.

Any Van will then contact you via telephone (if a mobile number has been provided) to confirm your delivery window. As items are collected from our store, delivery can take place up to 8pm in the evening.

You can customise, cancel or amend your delivery date should the estimated delivery date not be suitable, we do ask for at least 24 hours notice to do this. Please note – should the courier not be able to contact you on attempt to deliver or deliver the item on a 3rd attempt, the item will be returned to us and you will be charged.

Please note, Bents and Any Van does not accept responsibility for the security of your order once it has been delivered and cannot be held responsible for and loss or damage that may occur.

 

Eco Speed Delivery

Once your order has been completed and is ready to be sent you will receive an email or telephone call from us confirming your item is ready to be booked in for delivery. This is usually within 1-2 working days.

Eco Speed will then book in your delivery and will confirm the day, as this our quickest service we cannot provide a tracking link. However, we can advise on a morning, afternoon or evening delivery estimate. We kindly ask that should you require this information on the day, you request this from 9am onwards by calling us on 01942 266300, or alternatively emailing us at shopping@bents.co.uk.

Eco Speed will then contact you via telephone (if a mobile number has been provided) to confirm your delivery is due. As items are collected from our store, delivery can take place up to 8pm in the evening.

Your options:

Have your parcel redelivered to your current address within 5 working days

Pick up from our store

If on vacation – you can request for Bents to hold your item for up to 10 working days until your return and have it redelivered. We can only do this before delivery is booked in, and require a request to do so.

 

Royal Mail Delivery

Once your order has been successfully completed and is ready to be sent you will receive a non-automated email from us confirming the successful dispatch of your order.

Royal Mail postal service will then deliver your parcel via your local postal service. For UK, this is usually delivered by 1pm via tracked & signed method within 3 working days of your order. Please note that the tracked at every point service is only valid for UK customers. We strongly advise should you wish express delivery an alternative courier is selected. We understand that for some areas, Royal Mail is the preferred choice as a reliable service.

If there is no response when Royal Mail try to deliver your parcel, a card will be left giving you the option to re-arrange collection or collect from your local post office. They will make no re-attempts to deliver your parcel. You should wait at least 24 hours before arranging collection.

Please note due to legal reasons, we are unable to send any items as a gift and all items and amounts paid will be declared when being posted via Royal Mail service.

Arrange a redelivery on a nominated day and time

 

Security and Liability

Our couriers ensure that your goods are correctly signed for thus ensuring that your parcel is in safe hands. Bents does not accept liability for any delivery instructions issued to the delivery company by the customer. If you leave instructions requesting a parcel to be left in a location (e.g shed, garage, neighbour etc) we cannot accept responsibility if you fail to receive your parcel.

If your order is returned to sender due to multiple unsuccessful delivery attempts, you will be liable to pay the return delivery charges to the Bents store.

As a UK business we are reliant on the DPD, Eco Speed, AnyVan courier service providers & Royal Mail postal services. We do our upmost to ensure the above methods and timings are met.

Your purchase is insured if your parcel is lost/damaged/stolen whilst in transit and under the care of the couriers. Once the parcel is signed for then it is no longer covered under this agreement and the responsibility of the parcel and its contents falls to the recipient that signed.

To avoid delays to your order, please ensure that your billing address matches the address on your card statement and that the card holder’s name is written as it appears on the card. Please ensure that your contact details are filled in accurately so that we can contact you if necessary.

 

Payment By Credit Card

If you request delivery to an address other than the credit card statement address we reserve the right to delay or cancel despatch unless the delivery address can be verified, this is part of our agreement with security terms. Our secure credit card processor does not disclose credit card or personal details to us.

 

Order Cancellation

You have the right to cancel your order. Should you wish to cancel your order for any item purchased on this website, please notify us as soon as possible via email at shopping@bents.co.uk. On an occasion whereby your order has already been dispatched please refer to our Returns Policy below.

If you make a purchase that qualifies for a discount and you wish to return or cancel the item, you will receive a refund that includes the discount originally given. If you make a number of purchases and return one or some of the items, the discount will be a pro rata percentage of the discount originally given, based on the cost of the item(s).
