Daphne bholua 'Jacqueline Postill' is a beautiful and fragrant evergreen shrub, highly valued for its winter blooms and delightful scent. It is an upright, medium-sized shrub with leathery, dark green leaves. The flowers are purplish-pink on the outside and white within, appearing in terminal clusters during late winter. The flowers are highly fragrant, making it a popular choice for gardens where scent is desired.
It typically grows to a height of 1.5–2.5 meters and spreads about 1–1.5 metres.
It prefers fertile, moist but well-drained soils and can thrive in full sun or partial shade. It is not reliably hardy in exposed conditions and resents transplanting. Regular watering during the first growing season helps establish a deep, extensive root system. Pruning should be done immediately after flowering to promote new growth
This plant is also known to be toxic if ingested and can cause skin irritation, so it's advisable to handle it with care
