West Country Lupin 'Melody' 1L

Lupin 'Melody' is a beautiful herbaceous perennial shrub known for its striking flowers and sturdy stems. It has bushy clumps of mid-green, palmate leaves. The flowers are densely packed on spires and display a lovely mix of blue, lilac, and white hues. The blooms appear from late spring into early summer and open from the bottom upwards over several weeks. This variety is perfect for adding vibrant colour and vertical interest to garden beds or patio containers.

Growing conditions: Lupins thrive in well-drained, fertile soil and prefer full sun to partial shade. Regular watering is essential, especially during dry spells, but avoid waterlogging.

Care Tips: Deadhead regularly to encourage a second flush of flowers. Protect young plants from slugs and snails, and consider staking the flowers with bamboo canes to protect them from wind.
