Pulsatilla Vulgaris Pulsatilla vulgaris, the pasqueflower, is a species of flowering plant belonging to the buttercup family, found locally on calcareous grassland in Europe. It was considered part of the genus Anemone, to which it is closely related. Hardy and herbaceous perennial, the mid green foliage is fern like and finely cut. Hairy flower buds oped to cup shaped purple flowers in April and May. Best in a sunny position in well drained soil.
