Tai Chi, is an ancient Chinese gentle practice, embracing mind, body and spirit. characterized by slow, graceful movements, deep coordinated breathing and mindfulness. It is increasingly being recognized for its health benefits both physically and mentally. Known as (meditation in motion). Tai Chi integrates physical activity with mindful exercises, promoting overall well-being. Blocked or stagnant Qi (vital energy / life force) is said to be the root of many diseases.
Tai Chi is an art with deep history, knowledge and skill; however, it can be taught in a simple way, to reap some of the benefits from day one.
Health benefits.
Tai Chi improves muscular strength, bone density, mobility, flexibility, cardiovascular fitness, and balance. It also lowers blood pressure, helps circulation, prevents falls and help people who have arthritis.
There are also emotional and mental benefits. Tai Chi helps people to feel more relaxed, grounded and present with more body awareness. This lowers stress levels, anxiety and depression; while improving memory, clarity and feeling more focused throughout the day. It’s all about improving your quality of life and feeling empowered to be the best version of you.
Anyone can practice Tai Chi, regardless of age or fitness levels, as it is a gentle low impact form of exercising with amazing benefits.
